Applications
  • Inventory Management: In the business and industrial sectors, I-CODE Inlays are widely used for inventory management. They can be attached to products, components, or raw materials to enable real-time tracking of stock levels. By using RFID readers at various points in the supply chain, such as in warehouses, on production lines, or at store locations, businesses can quickly and accurately monitor the movement and quantity of their inventory, improving efficiency and reducing errors.
  • Library Management: Libraries often utilize I-CODE Inlays in books and other media items. The tags allow for easy identification and tracking of library materials. When borrowers check out or return items, the RFID reader can quickly read the tag information, update the library's database regarding the item's availability, and streamline the overall lending process, making it more convenient for both library staff and patrons.
  • Access Control: For buildings, offices, and restricted areas, I-CODE Inlays can be incorporated into access cards or badges. The stored information on the inlay is used by the access control system's RFID reader to verify the identity and authorization of the person attempting to enter. This provides a convenient and secure way to manage access, enhancing security while simplifying the entry process for authorized individuals.
  • Product Authentication and Traceability: In industries where counterfeiting is a concern, like pharmaceuticals, luxury goods, and electronics, I-CODE Inlays can be embedded in products to provide a unique identification code. This code can be used to verify the authenticity of the product at various points in the supply chain or by consumers. Additionally, it enables traceability, allowing businesses to track the product's journey from production to the end-user, which is valuable for quality control and recalls if necessary.
  • Asset Management: Companies use I-CODE Inlays to tag their fixed assets, such as equipment, furniture, and vehicles. By doing so, they can easily identify, locate, and manage these assets. For example, during audits or when relocating assets within an organization, the RFID tags can quickly provide information about the asset's details, ownership, and maintenance history.
