Introduction to Ultralight Inlay
The Ultralight series Inlay uses NXP Mifare Ultralight Inlay + base-less double-sided tape + release paper, and complies with the IEC/ISO 14443A air interface protocol. It has advanced data encryption and two-way password verification system, and 16 completely independent sectors, which has extremely high stability and wide application range.
Applications
  • Access Control: Commonly used in access cards for buildings, offices, or restricted areas. The Ultralight Inlay stores the user's identification information, and when the card is presented to an RFID reader at the access point, it quickly verifies the user's authorization and grants or denies entry. For example, in an office building, employees can use their RFID-enabled access cards with Ultralight Inlays to enter their workspaces.
  • Ticketing: In the transportation and event industries, it is used for tickets. For public transportation like buses or subways, the ticket with the Ultralight Inlay can be quickly scanned by the reader on the vehicle to deduct the fare or validate the journey. At events such as concerts or sports games, these tags on tickets help in quick entry verification and also can prevent ticket fraud by ensuring each ticket is unique and properly registered.
  • Product Authentication: Manufacturers can embed Ultralight Inlays in their products for anti-counterfeiting purposes. The unique identification code stored on the inlay can be verified by consumers or retailers using a dedicated RFID reader app on a smartphone or a fixed reader at the point of sale. This helps in distinguishing genuine products from fake ones and protecting the brand's reputation.
  • Loyalty Programs: Retailers may use these inlays in loyalty cards. When customers present their loyalty cards with the Ultralight Inlay at the checkout, the reader can identify them and access their loyalty program data, such as points accumulated or special offers available, enhancing the customer shopping experience and encouraging repeat purchases.
